Privacy
A plain-language description of what Love Compass collects and how it is used. This is not a substitute for a formal legal policy.
The free Reality Check
- Your three answers are processed in your browser. They are not sent to our servers or saved to a database.
- If you choose to sign up after a Reality Check, your answers are held in this browser's temporary session storage until you finish, then cleared.
Accounts
- To save results you create an account with your email address. We use it to sign you in and to send verification codes and purchase receipts.
- You must be 18 or older to register.
The full questionnaire and reports
- Every question is optional except the preferred gender; leave anything you do not want to share as "no preference".
- Some answers can be sensitive, such as religion, ethnicity, income, body type, family status and your zodiac sign. They are used only to produce your estimate and are saved with your report.
- To produce the estimate, your answers are sent to an AI service, which can also use general information from the internet. Your name and email address are not sent with them. We do not control how that service handles data beyond what we send it, so do not enter anything you are not comfortable sharing.
- Your saved reports can be read only by your account (and by the app's administrators). They are not shown to other users.
- A report's link contains only a random report ID, never your answers. Without being signed in, a link shows nothing but the free score for a report that was never attached to an account.
Payments
- Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's page and never reach Love Compass.
- After a successful payment we receive the purchase confirmation and the email used at checkout, so we can unlock your report and email your access code.
- Stripe keeps its own payment records under its own rules. We cannot delete them.
What we do not do
- We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics in the app.
- We do not display your information to other users.
Your data, download and deletion
- From your dashboard you can download a copy of your saved reports and answers.
- From your dashboard you can permanently delete a single saved report, or all saved reports and answers at once. This cannot be undone and includes paid reports.
- Deleting does not remove Stripe's payment records or emails already sent to you.
- Deleting your data does not remove the login itself. To have your email address removed from the sign-in system, contact us.
- Unpaid reports and other data are kept until you delete them. We have not set an automatic expiry.
